I enjoy doing illustrations in comic book style with a vintage aesthetic.
As a storyteller, I try to make every image tell a story, even if it is simply a portrait
For this piece, I was inspired by a photograph of the one and only Lady Miss Kier, lead singer with 1990s sensations Deee-Lite.
I went for a noir-ish feel, hence the shadowy ambience and the cool-as-ice femme fatale. I used half-tone and a desaturated palette to augment the 1970s feel.
