I created this piece for submission to a Middle Eastern comics anthology. As an experiment, I asked my cousin (who is a neurosurgeon with a writing hobby and several published books) to show me some of his newer works.

I picked this “romantic comedy” with a slightly conservative moral as a challenge, since it was so different from what I tend to do. I decided to incorporate a manga influence and work in a sepia monochrome. I created the shower scene in order to end the story without spelling out the “lesson learned” as it was in the original text, and add a little bit of conjugal spice.
